Die Gründer: Pioniere der Informatik in Deutschland
Die KIT-Fakultät für Informatik wurde 1972 als erste Informatik-Fakultät in Deutschland gegründet. Die Professoren der ersten Generation errichteten im Jahr 2008 die Begabtenstiftung Informatik Karlsruhe mit dem Ziel, an „ihrer“ Fakultät herausragende Studierende zu unterstützen.”
